Hip-hop/Rap superstar Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has just teased forthcoming music. As per the hard-hitting woman emcee at the helm of global rap music, new music just might arrive earlier than anticipated as she has a crucial announcement to make tomorrow.

A few hours ago, the “Invasion of Privacy” emcee took to Meta to tease new music. Cardi, who most recently linked up with her husband and former member of the iconic Hip-Hop group Migos on “Jealousy” single, has revealed that she “got an announcement to make tomorrow.”

On August 25, Cardi revealed her plans for further music amidst her interview with Vogue Mexico.

“I’m not going to release any more collaborations, I’m going to put out my next solo single,” Cardi B expressed. “Right now I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up,” the rapper said during her conversation with Vogue.

For many, it just might mean further new music. Notably, Cardi hasn’t released a full-length rap album in over five years. The rapper dropped her star-studded debut Hip-Hop LP “Invasion of Privacy” in April 2018 leaving fans longing for its sophomore follow-up.

Interestingly, Cardi B has further hinted that her upcoming track might sample legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar. In the clip shared by Cardi, she can be seen approaching the camera with “Addictive” by Truth Hurts, which further samples Mangeshkar’s 1981 Indian pop record “Thoda Resham Lagta Hai”, playing in the background.

If that in fact happens, it would mark the third time that an American Hip-Hop artist samples Lata Mangheskar’s tracks in their music.

In 2002, legendary woman rapper Truth Hurts sampled the same record on “Addictive”. Featuring Hip-Hop pioneer Eric B., the track served as the lead single to Hurts’ debut rap album “Truthfully Speaking”.

Most recently, Russ sampled Lata Mangeshkar’s 1964 Bollywood record “Lag Ja Gale Se Phir” on “Can’t Get This Right”.

Cardi B’s announcement arrives amidst women Hip-Hop and R&B artists razing through Billboard Charts. In July, American rapper Latto, oftentimes referred to as Big Latto, became the first rapper to reach the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 this year.

Look out for Cardi B’s forthcoming music this year.
