The MVMNT’s leading underground emcee Ab 17 and MTV Hustle’s top-selling contender Panther have just released their debut collaborative effort. Titled ‘Lifestyle’, the single is produced by the iconic Indian rap record producer Sez On The Beat and portrays Ab 17 & Panther’s street knowledge with provocative authenticity.
Released through Nas’ very own Mass Appeal India record label, the record will be further supported by an exclusive visual treatment premiering later today. Notably, the single arrives amidst Prabhdeep’s ‘Bhram Deluxe’ LP released at midnight.
As per many, ‘Lifestyle’ could be the turning point for the two fierce and young emcees in the Indian Hip-Hop scene. The progenitor of modern Indian rap music who helped build Seedhe Maut and Prabhdeep from the ground up, Sez has worked with some of the biggest acts in Indian & Global rap including Gully Gang’s bossman Divine, Badshah, Ikka, PnB Rock, Rich The Kid and more.
As for The MVMNT, the latest rap record serves as the follow-up to Ab 17’s debut LP ‘Tez Filam’. Executive produced by Sez, the eight-track album features guest appearances from underground emcees Asmadhe, OG Lucifer and Lil Bhavi.
Even at the time, our publication noted that it was a rarity for a young emcee to have his first record with a record label of Mass Appeal’s stature. However, through ferocious bars next to Sez’s ruthless record production, the Indian rap’s most promising freshman Ab 17 proved his worth.
Panther, who was at the epicentre of pop culture and Indian television appearances, looks eager and extremely hungry to assert his lyrical prowess and ghetto attitude on the record.
