Breaking: Indian Hip-Hop Superstar MC Stan Announces New Album

Indian Hip-Hop superstar MC Stan, born Altaf Shaikh, has finally announced his third studio album. The LP, which will serve as the follow-up to Stan’s mumble and autotune rap record “Insaan”, is slated to arrive this year.

The emcee, who recently linked up with Dance & Electronic Music pioneer and superproducer KSHMR on “Hath Varthi”, first confirmed the LP earlier this month.

During a poll on his Instagram’s artist community “Aai Zavun Tak Mitra Mandal”, which translates to “Let Us Be Friends Till Our Mothers Are Alive”, Stan conferred with his fans about dropping a “diss track” or an “album”.

With the majority of his fans leaning towards a new LP, Stan hinted that an album might be in the works. Earlier today, Stan took to Instagram to confirm that he is in fact in “album mode” and will drop anytime now.

The announcement arrives amidst high anticipation for new music by MC Stan. While the hard-hitting emcee traded heavy bars on the KSHMR and Phenom-produced “Hath Varthi”, he is yet to drop his music. Even Stan’s guest verse on “Hath Varthi” arrived after a year-long hiatus too.

Within days after linking up with KSHMR, Stan further announced a collaborative effort with the “Tommy Lee” rapper Tyla Yaweh.

While Stan has announced an upcoming rap record with Yaweh and a full-length studio album, the young rapper fell short of revealing any further details about the track, or his upcoming studio album.

More details awaited.

As reported earlier, after dropping the flagrant autotune-heavy rap record “Insaan” in February, Stan took a backseat and continued with the visual rollout of his sophomore album“Basti Ka Hasti” India tour and a victorious appearance in one of India’s leading reality TV shows.

Look out for MC Stan’s third studio album this year.
