North India’s evocative emcee, record producer and songwriter on the come-up Chaar Diwaari, born Garv Taneja, has announced his major label debut. The hard-hitting rapper has confirmed that he is slated to drop his next single “Violence” through India’s coveted rap record label Def Jam Recordings India.
Notably, Chaar Diwaari’s self-produced single will feature a guest verse by Bombay Lokal‘s towering emcee Gravity. The rapper, who recently dropped his debut full-length LP “Supervillain”, will join Diwaari marking the artists’ debut rap record together. As per Diwaari, the track releases on August 17th 2023.
Further, Diwaari has announced that the “Violence” single will be released alongside self-directed visuals. Slated to release on August 19th 2023, the visuals will capture Gravity “getting married to Diwaari… fr“.

On August 11th 2023, Chaar Diwaari previewed “Violence” with Gravity during his live set in Gurgaon, Haryana. The emcee performed at Def Jam Recordings India‘s “50 Years Hip-Hop” concert and joined a massive line-up of Indian Hip-Hop artists including Raga, Bella, the “Tabla Faad” rapper Rawal, Hanumankind, Irfana and more.
Amidst Diwaari’s hard-hitting live set, Gravity stormed the performing area and performed “Violence” with him. While Diwaari announced his next single “Violence” featuring Mumbai‘s fierce emcee, he fell short of revealing any further details about the record at the time. It’s here now.
