As the burgeoning Indian rap scene continues to anticipate Seedhe Maut’s massive 30-track mixtape “Lunch Break”, Seedhe Maut have confirmed that they will not drop the sprawling record on July 15th, 2023. The hard-hitting rap group, helmed by Calm and Encore ABJ, have rather pushed the release date by “a week or two”.
Reportedly, the mixtape is being delayed since the hard-hitting emcees “don’t want to compromise on” how the project sounds. Given the massive tracklist, which might feature numerous guest verses, and Seedhe Maut’s unprecedented influence on Indian rap music, the pressure certainly runs high.
Originally slated to drop on Encore’s birthday on July 15th, the “Lunch Break” mixtape was first announced by Seedhe Maut during its incendiary live set in Delhi last month.
As reported earlier, Seedhe Maut’s frontmen Calm and Encore ABJ shut down Talkatora stadium and brought out Delhi’s young Hip-Hop pioneers Raga, Yungsta, AB 17 and numerous underground emcees including Revo Lekhak, the “Taakat” emcee Lil Bhavi, ‘Full Power’ affiliate Frappe Ash, Rebel 7 and Bhaktaaa.
Further, Indian rap superstar Kr$na watched Seedhe Maut’s crucial rise in Indian rap music from backstage. It was the Kalamkaar affiliate’s first appearance in months.
While the “Lunch Break” mixtape stands delayed, Seedhe Maut has confirmed the sophomore rap record from the LP. Slated to drop on the mixtape’s original release date, the single will be released alongside a visual treatment.
Notably, Seedhe Maut has already premiered the lead single from the “Lunch Break” mixtape. Titled “W”, the single led to Indian rap listeners storming Seedhe Maut’s social media for the mixtape at the time.
For Seedhe Maut, the upcoming single will serve as the follow-up to their massive collaborative effort with KSHMR. Earlier this month, the incendiary rappers linked up with KSHMR and Indian rap superproducer Karan Kanchan on “Bhussi”.
