Breaking: KSHMR Gears Up For Full-Length Rap Album With Mass Appeal, Reveals Lead Single ‘Haath Varthi’ F/ MC Stan Drops Friday

Global Electronic and Trap pioneer KSHMR, born Niles Hollowell-Dhar, has officially begun the roll-out of his long-awaited full-length rap album. The ‘Bombay Dreams’ DJ and superproducer has announced that he is gearing up for his debut rap album with Mass Appeal India and is slated to drop the first single from the LP with MC Stan.

Titled “Haath Varthi”, the rap record is slated to drop on May 12th 2023 and arrives amidst high anticipation for the rap LP. Notably, the young rap superstar previewed the original record in February this year. Fresh off his landslide win at one of India’s biggest reality TV shows, Stan previewed the hard-hitting single during an Instagram Live at the time.

While many thought that the record will be Stan’s first release after a long hiatus, owing to the release of his sophomore LP “Insaan”, his appearance on reality TV and ‘Basti Ka Hasti’ India tour, the fact that “Hath Varthi” is, in fact, the lead single from KSHMR’s upcoming rap album has surprised many.

Even during his Ultra Music live set in Mumbai, KSHMR previewed the entire record to a massive crowd. Ahead of the official release, KSHMR has shared the exclusive artwork of “Haath Varthi” with MC Stan. You can check it out here.

Besides MC Stan, fans have speculated that KSHMR’s upcoming LP might have a slew of star-studded guest verses by Seedhe Maut and Hanumankind. Further, given his long-time association with Mass Appeal India via The MVMNT, Yungsta might find a spot on the album too.

While KSHMR has announced the lead single, the legendary DJ and producer fell short of revealing the LP title, tracklist and release date just yet. With such a massive rap record underway, the anticipation for the California-based DJs album is at an all-time high.

Earlier this month, KSHMR further shared an exclusive ‘Basti Ka Hasti’ remix too. Performing a headlining set at the Ultra India Music festival, the DJ, formerly a part of rap production duo The Cataracts, gave Stan his flowers during the far-reaching live set. Check it out here.

KSHMR’s album arrives amidst numerous superproducers announcing star-studded projects or joint LPs worldwide. Earlier this month, Punjabi & U.K. rap superproducer Steel Banglez announced his debut LP “The Playlist”.

Releasing on May 19th 2023, Banglez’s first full-length rap record will reportedly feature guest verses from numerous British emcees including Giggs, Chip, Squeeks, Aitch, Morrisson, Tion Wayne, MIST, Mostack, Burna Boy, Steff London, Clean Bandit, Unknown T, Blade Brown and more. Notably, the ‘Signed To God’ producer has confirmed that Sidhu Moose Wala‘s third posthumous single “Mera Na” feat. Burna Boy will feature on the LP as well.

Further, Metro Boomin has confirmed at least two joint LPs. Reportedly, the “Heroes & Villains” superproducer is gearing up for full-length albums with Future and JID. Zaytoven has announced a joint LP “Beast Mode 3” with the ATL rap pioneer Future too.

Look out for KSHMR’s ‘Hath Varthi’ with MC Stan on May 12th 2023.
